A lot of our up-cycling work is for Commission Work on Modern Furniture

There is a huge amount of Modern Furniture in our homes that is made from solid wood, possibly Pine or Oak and is amazing quality. Although it is good quality, sadly it is dated in colour. Rather than splashing out on new furniture that is really expensive to buy, it is actually more cost effective to have your existing furniture up-cycled.

We sand back the table or dresser tops and that takes off the orangey varnish colour and also sands out a lot of nicks and dents in the wood. We then can seal in either a clear or coloured varnish of your choice.

We can then paint the rest of the furniture, and this is what is really good, the colour can be exactly what you would like and not just what a shop would sell.

We can colour match the paint too.

We either hand paint (and our hand painting is good!) or spray paint which is a really smooth finish like you would get on a new shop bought piece of furniture.

Some of our up-cycled dining sets for example, look so good once they have been worked on they would pass as being brand new and at a snippet of the price!!

Working with antique vintage furniture is amazing. We are up close and personal with beautiful pieces of furniture that just needs a bit of TLC and a makeover. Vintage furniture is usually extremely well made and absolutely oozes character. It’s extremely satisfying to transform old and loved pieces into something bespoke that will certainly be a stunning focal point in any room and would certainly not be found on the high street. Some of these pieces maybe passed on furniture from loved ones that have a lot of sentimental value and it is a pleasure to work on these.

Sourcing Furniture

One other service we do offer is sourcing pieces of furniture for customers. Sometimes customers are after a certain piece of furniture or style and as we have a lot of contacts and are often looking for furniture we are happy to extend our searches into finding something our customer is looking for.

Re-Upholstery In Polehill

We also offer a basic re-upholstery service. We are happy to re-upholster dining chairs or stools to finish off the transformation of any set we have work on.
